Futures firms usually run one trailing max drawdown and no daily limit. CFD firms usually run a fixed max drawdown plus a daily one. Set yours up exactly as your firm has it — turn off whatever doesn't apply.
Set it up the way your firm does. Switch each limit on or off, enter it in dollars or percent, and pick how your max drawdown moves: static (never moves), end-of-day (ratchets on closes) or intraday (chases your equity in real time, including open trades).
